Rain, Rain & More Rain

Spring has arrived! It's going to rain all week..just a sign of Spring. Had a relaxing weekend. Went shopping with Kaylee to get some summer clothes on Sat. Sunday we went to my parents for dinner.

I made this purse out of a dish towel. It called for 2 dish towels, but I decided to use the blue material instead of another dish towel. Very cute! I have birthdays coming up!

Guess who came to visit?

Yup, Gavin came to visit! He brought his mother along with him. We think he was coming down with a cold because he sat on Mom's lap while watching Barney. He is usually on the go all the time.

I've done some sewing. Made another purse with dish towels. Came out kind of cute! I'll post a pic another day. Made a few more American Girl doll dresses too! Keeps me out of trouble!

We've decided to sell our camper this year. Well at least try and sell it. With the kids getting older and not wanting to be with Mom and Dad we decided to sell it and see if we can get a smaller one maybe for the two of us someday. Jared will be heading to college this Fall and Kay will be a Junior in High School! Yikes! Where did the time go?

Bags Anyone?

Well, the snow is almost gone! There is a few areas in the backyard and it'll be gone soon! Yipee! We need Spring to arrive! Jared has started his final year of baseball and is very excited about it. John is painting the kitchen, and Kay has made her weight loss goal and is thrilled!

I've been busy sewing, of course. This bag pattern was in the latest issue of Quilts & More and I made one for myself and then my sister, Sharon saw it and I made this one for her! Great spring colors. Bren - if you want one, let me know the colors!

Spring Swap

I signed up for a Spring Swap on Sheri Howard's blog and it arrived Monday when I wasn't home! I opened the door and it was sitting right there. I had just missed my swap partner, Mary Grace dropping it off! Look what I received! All kinds of goodies!
Thanks so much, Mary Grace, I love them all! I hope to get my swap partners out by Friday..she's in California!

It's a beautiful day here in New England. Its going to get up to 60 degrees! Yahoo! We need to get rid of the snow. Hope everyones having a great day!

Sewing Room

Finally a nice weekend here in New England. Hopefully the snow will be leaving soon!

I've been busy in the sewing room making these mini wallets for gifts.

I also made this American Girl Doll dress for Miss Lydia. She requested a red dress. This one has cute cherries on it!

I'm also trying to finish up some goodies for my Spring Swap recipient. I'm hoping to get it in the mail this week. I received my goodies today! OH, Gosh..there was alot of goodies in the bag. I put a pic up tomorrow! Thank you Mary Grace!

Coupons, Coupons and Coupons

Today I went grocery shopping with my friend, Leeann, who has been couponing it for awhile and I decided that I needed to join her. We only bought stuff that was on sale and with a coupon. Her total came to $150...after coupons: $32.! Wow.. I want to be her. So I went next .. my total was $51 but after coupons $24! Can you believe it! I'm going to be going with her again next week!

Kaylee heard today that's she getting her braces off soon! Yahoo...she's very excited. It's been almost 2 yrs since she's had them on.

No sewing today..I hope to make a purse tomorrow.

Litttle of This, Little of That

Not much happening in the New England area other than snow! Spring was trying to come out this past weekend, but on Monday we received another 4-6" of more snow. We're hoping for Spring to come soon.

My nephew, Gavin came for a short visit yesterday! He is always on the go!

I did sew a few tote bags and other small projects! They keep me busy and out of the cookie jar!

Where is Spring?

Woke up this morning to it snowing! Where is Spring? I think we have had enough of winter already.
This weekend I went to a benefit for a classmate who is going through leukemia treatment. It was nice seeing some classmates from long ago and catching up on what everyone is doing. We've turned out to be ok adults!
Saw the three Metcalf boys! They sure do keep ya busy. Little Gavin, is 18 months old, and is always on the go. He loves to be outside with his older brothers.
Sewing for the weekend was minimal. I did repair one of Jareds spring jackets and hem a pair of his pants. I finished another small tote bag and made some wrist cuffs (quilters version of a bracelet)!

More Snow!

Well, living in New England you never know what the weather is going to be! They are predicting another 18" of snow starting this afternoon into tomorrow! Say it isn't so!
So today I'll be in the sewing room creating more goodies.
Yesterday, my nephew, Gavin, (18 months) took a fall at home and off to the emergency room they went. But, good news, he didn't have to have any stitches. One boo-boo near his eye and another one above his lip. Can you say fat lip for sure!
Well, I"m off to make some blueberry muffins. Hope everyone is having a great day!
