I love reading blogs, but I haven't been very good about keeping this blog going. I guess everyday life keeps getting in the way. I'm going to be better about it this coming year.

We took the house off the market so I got my sewing room back! yahoo!!! I've been sewing alot lately. Few small Christmas gifts, pillowcases to give to charity and I've had so much fun! I really did miss sewing. We haven't decided if we will put the house on the market in the Spring or just stay here until the market gets a little better.

Both kids are doing great. Kaylee is now home and going to transfer to a local university. She is so happy about it. She thought she would like to live in the city and go to college, but ended up hating it. She is a country girl at heart.

Where Have I Been?

I can't believe I haven't posted since July? Where is the time going? This is what has happened since the last post!

We put our house up for sale and so far we've had one offer, but it was extremely low. So we are hoping that someone will come love it us as much as we do before the snow hits.

Both kids have gone off to college. Our daughter, Kaylee, hasn't had the best time with her roommate and has asked to change rooms, but she won't be able to until the beginning of the year. So she has been coming home on the weekends to get some much needed rest.

John has been getting better and better with his short term memory since his fall this past winter. He is still tired by the end of the day, but the doctors have said this is normal.

I got a job working for a small company doing Jill of all trades type of stuff which I love. I never know what I'll be doing and I'm not doing the same ol thing all day long. Little office stuff, shipping, etc.

As far as sewing, I haven't done that much. I had to pack up the sewing room and make it back into a bedroom for the showings of the house. I sure do miss sewing. With Christmas right around the corner, I might have to use the kitchen table and we can eat on our laps! LOL

Where is the time going?

I can't believe its been almost two months since Kay and I went to Florida! Time sure is rushing by.



We've been busy with getting the house ready for the For Sale sign. Also, going to Kaylee's orientation to college. Jared leaves Aug.28 for school and Kay leaves Sept 4th! Then we'll have an empty house! Not looking forward to it. It will seem strange having to cook for only the two of us.

We're going on vaca next week to Maine near Old Orchard Beach. It will be nice spending some time with the kids before they leave. I start a new job when we get back. It couldn't have come at a better time. Keeping me busy and not thinking about the kids and what they are doing (or not doing)LOL!

Graduation 2011

We survived Kaylee's graduation! What a weekend. We had the graduation ceremony on Saturday @ 4pm. It was awesome! Kay looked very happy to finally be done. Even though she didn't do her senior year at the high school, she is very happy to close this chapter. Then we had her party yesterday with family and friends. Alot of food and cheer! Now we have the clean up!

Now she'll be off to Johnson & Wales Universty in Rhode Island to study Hospitality Mgmt.

Mini-Vaca, Graduation!

Boy, its been busy around here. Kaylee and I went to Florida for a mini-vacation just the two of us. It was wonderful her to myself for four days. This weekend, she graduates from high school on Saturday and then party on Sunday.

We've also decided to get the house ready to be put on the market. John has been travelling over an hour each way to work and he is getting tired of it. So since both kids are now done high school, we are going to look for something a little closer for him.

We are doing alot of decluttering, painting and sprucing the yard. With the market the way it is, w ho knows if we sell it, but it sure will look good!

Decisions being made

It's been awhile since I've posted. I've been quite busy trying to get our house ready to be put on the market. We've made the decision to move closer to John's job. He commutes about 2.5 hrs everyday and its getting to be too much. So we're painting, sanding, decluttering!

Along with that, we are also getting ready for a graduation party! Our daugther, Kaylee, is graduating from high school. She didn't go to her senior year, instead she went to our local University for classes. So it really feels like she graduated last year. It will be fun though having everyone over for eats/drinks.

I haven't done much sewing. I had to turn my sewing room into a spare room so our house would really look like a 3 bedroom.

Happy Birthday to Me!

Today is my 50th birthday! Where did the time go? Seems like yesterday, I was graduating from high school. We went out for dinner with friends last night..great time had by all. Today I've been told to be ready to leave by 2:30pm. I wonder what is up their sleeves?
