Happy Birthday to Me!

Today is my 50th birthday! Where did the time go? Seems like yesterday, I was graduating from high school. We went out for dinner with friends last night..great time had by all. Today I've been told to be ready to leave by 2:30pm. I wonder what is up their sleeves?

Overnight Stay

Our nephew, Gavin (3 yr) stayed overnight this past Saturday. We took him to the playground for an hour or so and then we went to Chicken Donalds for dinner. He loves getting a toy in the happy meal. By 7:30pm he was asking to go to bed! What kid asks to go to bed? He does!




I've been doing alot of sewing little projects this week, but something went wrong with the machine last night. My thread wont grab the bobbin thread for some reason. John's going to look at this weekend and see whats going on. It might need to repairman!

Baby Quilt

I finally got the pic downloaded of the baby quilt I finally finished. Its a pattern from V and Co! It is so cute! Now I just need to quilt it.






The weather has finally started to feel like Spring. Today it was about 67 degrees! We were outside raking and playing ball with the pup, Mylo!

OK, I've had enough of the snow! It's April 1st. and we are getting between 8-12" of the lively white stuff! We'll never get the pool open at this rate! Ugh

Happy Spring and its Snowing!

I would love for it to be Spring, but unfortunately, its snowing here in lovely New England. Can you believe it! Oh, my gosh! We've had enough. The weatherman says its going to snow again on Thursday.

I finished a baby quilt from V and Co, that says Eat, Play, Sleep, Repeat. It is the cutest quilt. I took a pic, but I can't seem to download onto my computer. I'll have to have John look at the problem this week.

Send a Card

I've been feeling downlately with it still being cold here and snow still on the ground. I want Spring to hurry up at get here!

Then I ran into this blog, http://erikandkatekrull.blogspot.com. Its called 2 kids, a mini-van, and a mortgage! What a great title! Well, their 5 yr old daugther, Lucy, has just been diagnosed with brain cancer. She's had one surgery, but has a long road of chemo and radiation. Life sure did slap me in the face when I read the blog. If you read the blog, they give an address where you can send Lucy a card!

I went into the sewing room and made her a pillowcase and some doll dresses. I'm learning to be more grateful!

Sewing Projects

I've done a few sewing projects this past weekend. I had two childrens quilt tops that needed to be put together to get ready for quilting. I'm hoping to get started on that this week. I also made a few pillowcases for ConKerr Cancer. It was nice being in the sewing room after a long break. I took pics, but my camera is acting funny. Ugh!

John is finally feeling like himself which is wonderful! He has to get his stitches removed from his wrist this week and then he can start hand therapy. He can't wait to start using his hand.
